Preventive Health Examinations
Keeping your pet healthy is our passion and our ultimate goal. We emphasize annual preventive health care examinations that include a complete physical exam, routine vaccinations as needed, as well as blood and urine screening for underlying diseases.
Keeping your pet free from harmful parasites is critical to your pet's health and comfort. In order to keep your dog or cat parasite free, we advocate monthly administration of safe and effective medications to prevent heartworms, intestinal worms, and external parasites such as fleas and ticks. We carry a complete line of the most effective products. |
Surgical Services
We routinely perform elective surgical procedures, such as spays and neuters, as well as non-elective procedures including tumor removal, soft tissue surgery, and more.
Good pain management and the safety of your pet while under anesthesia are critical components of our surgical procedures. We utilize preemptive pain control measures, as well as long term pain management, inhalation anesthesia (including sevoflurane), and electronic monitoring of vital signs of our anesthetized patients. |
Dentistry
Dental care is an important component of a comprehensive health care plan for your pet. We offer complete dental prophylaxis, including cleaning and polishing teeth, fluoride treatment, and dental charting. In addition, we perform routine extractions, and client education on home dental care. For cases requiring more advanced dental work, we are able to refer patients to board certified veterinary dental specialists.

Laboratory Services
Our hospital maintains complete diagnostic and laboratory services that assist us in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of illnesses. We have an in-house laboratory for immediate blood and urine testing as well as an outside veterinary reference laboratory that picks up samples twice daily.

Microchips
We use and recommend the Home Again Microchip as a permanent identification system.
A microchip is a tiny device injected under your pet's skin in the area between the shoulder blades. The process is similar to a routine injection and only takes a few seconds to perform. No anesthetic is required. The microchip is read by passing a scanner over the pet's shoulder blades. The scanner reads the chip and displays the pet's unique code. If your pet gets lost and is taken to an animal shelter or veterinarian, this unique code will help to reunite you and your pet. And unlike a tag on the collar, the microchip cannot be easily lost or removed. |
Radiology (X-rays)
Our digital X-ray machine provides high quality radiographs to help the doctors diagnose injuries and illnesses. Images can be quickly taken and seen within seconds on a high resolution computer monitor. This allows for an increased level of detail and clarity as compared to traditional films. The image can also be manipulated to enlarge certain areas, perform measurements, and change brightness and contrast.
We also have a radiologist that can come here to perform cardiac or abdominal ultrasounds for more complicated cases. |
